From first glimpse you will know that this barn home has different appearance from the outside. This Zen Barn in Ottawa, Canada is located in residence where the neighbor home is just a step away. The surrounding is filled with modern and traditional home design. But this beautiful barn home although look rustic but it is obviously has charming contemporary design touch.

The barn home design is absolutely using old barn woods as you can see in these photos. The timber cladding on the home exterior make it looks rustic. It is obvious since the timber that is use comes from old barn.

You can see the timber ages from the uneven timber color tone and the marks which make it look fabulous. While you see the rustic appearance, you also are going to see the delight from the house that comes from the floor to ceiling windows that applies in this house.

The sneak peek from the windows allows you to see glimpse of that is inside the house. You can see that what is outside is totally different with the barn home interior design. In this L shape interior design you can see it has open floor plans. The dining room is in the front of the area while the living room is in the corner.

Next to the living room you can see the kitchen. Although it has L shape but you still can see the kitchen area from the dining area since the wall is replaced with glass door and glass windows. The minimalist home décor is feeling strongly in here with just little embellishment.

It can be said that the wall is clear from any painting. The only thing that is attached to the wall is the wall cabinet and open shelves which also use for book shelves. The room is dominated with white color with grey and wooden tone accents. The surprise comes from the use of red décor from the red lantern hanging lamps which makes the entire barn home design ideas more fascinating.
